GSS have signed a new 3 year contract to supply materials to a major OEM in the Czech republic

Cryogenics

  • GSS have been awarded a new section of business with it OEM Customer in Ireland, to support there new Cryogenics line.

PCB Assembly

  • A leading provider of Refrigeration units

  • Gss were asked to submit a solution to an issue the OEM had with one of it's printers. GSS Designed a PCB with a voltage regulator, that would stop the printer from over heating, this solution means the printers can be modified instead of needing replaced.

  • Net Savings for 2009/10 :£100k+

Heat Exchangers

  • A world leading manufacturer of heat exchangers has selected GSS to support there VMI programme in both Ireland and Czech republic.

  • This involves GSS managing the warehousing of their materials, order assembly and kitting as required and making weekly deliveries to their customers. And in the future  managing the return to there US Facility of the new reusable transport packaging.

Copper Tubing

  • A leading provider of Refrigeration units

    GSS were asked to source new copper tubing parts as quickly as possible, for their new manufacturing process. GSS managed this process through it's office in Shenzehn, China. We found and qualified a manufacturer within the tight timescale, enabling the customer to be ahead of schedule and most importantly within budget.

  •        Net Savings for 2008/9 :£15000

A customer in the solar energy transfer market required to reduce cost within its product, bill of materials.

  • GSS identified two suppliers in China and India, who could provide lower cost and high level of quality, on copper tubes

    Parts were qualified within two months, and supply commenced within six months of the project starting

    • Net savings in 2006 : £150,000

    Global customer in the finance sector, needed cost reduction and a local supply partner to provide the high level assembly of a critical part in its product.

  • GSS provided a 10% cost saving, a local assembly capability and commitment to buffer stock.

    GSS set up the assembly facility in two months and supplied the first sample in month three. Supply commenced within 6 months

    • Net savings in 2006-2008  : £ 97,000 / with the bonus of local buffer stock

  • Global provider of climate control equipment, requires global supply chain partner to provide components at strategic locations

    GSS signed an extension to the agreement over the next two years to provide components in Czech Republic, Ireland, Spain, the USA and China

    • Net savings in 2006 : £ 218,000 realised globally

  • Market leader in the provision of household electrical appliances, needed to take advantage of low cost country sourcing, with no risk to quality

    GSS identified a source in China. Samples were provided within ten days, with the parts loaded at the preferred supplier within 3 months

    • Net saving: based on current demand for 2006 : £ 95,000 on three products initially
